And we've only just begun, what next?

Freephone us for Building Surveys

We as Independent Surveyors believe that buying your house and home is such an important purchase that no shortcuts should be taken.

We have many years of experience in carrying out building surveys (also known as structural surveys) on many different types and eras of property. As well as building surveys we also offer engineer's reports, commercial surveys, independent valuations and specific defect reports on things such as condensation, roof problems and timber defects. Please call us on 0800 298 5424 for a chat with a friendly surveyor.

All our surveyors are independent meaning they are not connected to any bank, building society or estate agent.

We are more than happy for you to take a look at some of our example surveys. Please CLICK HERE

Hats for every occasion

At a family funeral we listened to all the things that had happened in our Auntie's life time with wonder (and how she had hats for every occasion) and wondered what would be next.

We still regularly survey buildings from the agricultural era 1630 to 1880, industrial era of 1760 to 1840 (or thereabouts), and we have now well and truly moved into the information age.

We were wondering if we had to name a few things and people that stood out with regard to the information age what and who we would name and we have come up with the following list that you may or may not agree with.

Please see the following articles on some people who we think are inspirational and certainly have hats for every ocassion:

Bill Gates, Microsoft

Steve Jobs, Apple

Sergey Brin and Larry Page, Google

Jimmy Wales, Wikipedia

At 1stAssociated.co.uk we as Independent Surveyors have over the years followed the development of businesses such as Microsoft and Apple with interest. The computer age owes a lot to Alan Turing, Enigma Code Breaker from World War II. We are still developing and looking at artificial intelligence.

As with the title of this article, we have only just begun, where will we go next and what is next …?

Have a look at our website at our other articles

Please have a good look around our website to see how much detail we go into regarding property and its associated problems in our articles. We go into this in much depth and detail within our reports as well. Here are some other articles on our website we hope you will find interesting and useful;

Why have one of our surveys?

Do Surveyors value property?

Why have one of our independent building surveys?

Caveat emptor means buyer beware and is why we feel a building survey is essential. The estate agent certainly will not advise you of any problems with the property but we most definitely will! Remember the Building Surveyor that you employ will be the only person working for you with your interests at heart. We have developed our surveys over many years and listened to feedback from our clients and we continue to listen. We believe our surveys are easy to understand and describe issues clearly.

Our unique sketches

We use sketches in our building survey reports that are unique to us. We feel these help our clients to understand the property we are surveying for them.

Our photos, circles and ovals

We also use many photos throughout our survey reports taken with a very powerful optical zoom camera.

The circles and ovals on many of our photos (like the one shown here) and sketches are a system we use to highlight certain areas we feel are important.

Compare our Building Surveys but don't compare Apples with Thursdays

If you require a Building Survey or a Structural Survey on a home, house or commercial property we believe as Building Surveyors we have a wealth of experience and expertise that we can utilise to help you.

We can email you examples of our structural surveys

We are more than happy to send you examples of our Surveys that we have carried out on similar properties to yours and pretty much have always carried out a survey on similar property to the one that you are looking at although we do appreciate that all properties are unique.

We really believe that you should see what you are getting in the form of an example Survey before you purchase a property. What is more is that we are so confident with our higher than average standards that we believe that there is no other comparable survey available in the UK property and surveying market.
